How to Tune In to Dallas Wings vs. Las Vegas Aces: Streaming Details, Match Preview, and Start Time

The Dallas Wings Face off Against the Las Vegas Aces Tonight

The Dallas Wings are set to travel to Las Vegas to take on the Las Vegas Aces tonight at 10 PM ET at the Michelob Ultra Arena. This matchup marks the first official encounter between these two teams for the season. Earlier during a preseason game on May 2, the Aces dominated with a score of 112-78. The last competitive game between the teams during the 2024 season ended similarly, with the Aces emerging victorious, 98-84.

Wings Searching for Stability Amidst Struggles

Sitting at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 1-10 record, the Wings are in dire need of a turnaround. Their current six-game losing streak is the worst start they’ve had since 2012. The Wings’ last taste of victory came from a 109-87 win against the Connecticut Sun on May 27.

In their latest game against the Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday night, the Wings fell short, losing 93-80 despite the exciting return of Paige Bueckers, who had been sidelined for four games due to illness and concussion protocol. Bueckers made quite an impact upon her return, scoring a career-high 35 points, with a remarkable 22 points in just the first quarter. This achievement makes her the fourth rookie in Wings history to score over 30 points in a single game, joining the renowned company of Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark as one of the only rookies in WNBA history to record a 35-point game with five 3-pointers made. Additionally, she is now the third player in league history to achieve such a milestone within their first 10 games, standing alongside notable players like A’ja Wilson and Chennedy Carter.

However, despite Buecker’s stellar performance, the Wings continued to falter on both ends of the court. The rest of the team struggled significantly, shooting a dismal 33% from the field and only managing 5-of-19 from beyond the arc against the Mercury.

Aces Eyeing a Turnaround Without A’ja Wilson

Meanwhile, the Aces, currently ranked fourth in the Western Conference with a 4-4 record, are also feeling the pressure after two consecutive losses. Their recent matchup against the Los Angeles Sparks ended in a 97-89 defeat, following another challenging 95-68 loss to the Golden State Valkyries just a few days prior.

In the game against the Sparks, despite a valiant comeback from a 20-point deficit, the Aces couldn’t clinch victory. Chelsea Gray showcased her talent by scoring a season-high 28 points, while Jackie Young tied her career-best with 34 points. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

Aces star A’ja Wilson exited the game in the third quarter due to a head injury, making her status uncertain for tonight’s game. Before her exit, Wilson had contributed 13 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while shooting 9 of 10 from the free-throw line, demonstrating her crucial role on the team.
