Busta Rhymes suggests he may retire in Nigeria alongside his family.

Renowned American rapper and producer, Trevor Smith, better known as Busta Rhymes, is making waves not just in the music industry but also in his personal aspirations. During a captivating performance at the Ilubinrin Music Festival and Concert in Nigeria, Busta candidly expressed a profound desire to settle down and build a family in Nigeria. This marks a significant moment in his life, particularly as it’s his return to the country since his headlining act at the Star Mega Jamz in 2010.

With a heartfelt statement, he shared: “Even though it took 15 years, we are home. This trip was memorable to me because it wasn’t just about a show. I’m looking for a home here, I’m looking for property.” His words resonate with many, reflecting a deep connection to the culture and people of Nigeria.

In an added layer of personal sincerity, Busta humorously mentioned, “I’m thinking about looking for a wife so that when I stop working, I can settle down here. I need a few Nigerian-slash-Jamaican grandchildren.” This glimpse into his future plans reveals not just his intentions but also his eagerness to embrace a life intertwined with Nigerian culture.

At 53, Busta Rhymes has six children—three sons born in 1993, 1999, and 2001, and three daughters born in 1998, 1999, and 2006. His family life is colorful, marked by relationships with four different women, including his ex-girlfriend Joanne Wood. Despite this rich tapestry of family experiences, he has never settled into marriage, which adds a layer of intrigue to his current aspirations of finding a life partner in Nigeria.
