• Kentaro Saito from Hibikiya Omagari Hanabi, Japan. A fifth-generation pyrotechnician, Saito brings 28 years of experience to the competition.
• Iain Keightley of Selstar Fireworks, U.K. He has an impressive resume, having been involved in international celebrations like Bonfire Night and the Cannes International Fireworks Competition.
• Tyler Wiesmann and Joe Rozzi from Rozzi Famous Fireworks, U.S., round out this prestigious group of competitors.

The Judging Process

Three expert judges will meticulously evaluate each performance based on design, choreography, and technical execution. While there’s no monetary prize for the winning team, they will receive a coveted trophy and the ultimate bragging rights in the world of fireworks. A mascleta is known for its loud concussions and typically culminates in a thunderous finale, making it an exciting spectacle that stands apart from traditional fireworks displays.

The first fireworks show is slated to ignite the evening sky at approximately 6 p.m. With 15-minute entertainment-filled breaks between each show, the evening will culminate around 8:30 p.m., leaving an indelible mark on all who attend.
