From the moment Michael “Radical Allen” Wright entered this world, his passion for radio was evident. With the support of his mother, who nurtured his talent by providing microphones and various tape recorders, he began performing shows for his family and sisters during holiday gatherings.
As he grew older, his desire to become a radio personality intensified. At just 18 years old, his ambition propelled him to reach out to stations such as 104.3 FM, WJPC, WKKC, and Power 104.3, where he finally landed his big break. Over the years, Radical Allen had the privilege of working alongside radio luminaries like Doug Banks, Herb Kent, LaDonna Tittle, Marv Dyson, and Elroy Smith, solidifying his prominence as a radio personality recognized for “the voice” in the industry.
In 2002, taking the skills he had honed through these experiences, Radical Allen launched his own radio station, WGCR.FM (Why God Created Radio), which has since evolved into Hit USA Radio. By 2016, he recognized the distinct advantages of owning an internet-based radio station, free from the constraints that traditional AM/FM stations face.
In 2019, to elevate the Hit USA Radio brand further, Allen partnered with TW Marketing Agency, resulting in remarkable success. Hit USA Radio has garnered impressive brand recognition, boasting a digital footprint of over 1 million users across Instagram and Facebook.
The station’s success has paved the way for numerous opportunities, enabling collaborations with R&B celebrities, event promotions, hosting gigs, and exciting prospects on the horizon for 2025.
